In the course of the ongoing regional development on the topics "H2" as well as "LNG + H2-ready", STORAG ETZEL is strategically involved since the foundation of the initiative "ENERGY-HUB Port of Wilhelmshaven" in 2021 together with several partners from the region. Last week, the ENERGY HUB all-day kick-off event and discussion arena on national energy transition topics took place at the Lower Saxony State Representation in Berlin. Representatives of STORAG ETZEL and project partners were on site and actively contributed to the discussions.

Among other things, key findings of an extensive study on the "Industrial Hydrogen Cluster Wilhelmshaven" by the German Energy Agency (dena) were presented. In the afternoon, experts discussed questions on the expansion of renewables, infrastructural challenges, and securing supply via hydrogen in three thematic panels. Boris Richter, commercial director of STORAG ETZEL, was on the panel "Security of supply through imports & storage". The goal was to jointly showcase the region and gain further tailwind in federal and state politics as well as from the business community for the ongoing energy projects in the region. For more information, visit https://energyhub-wilhelmshaven.de/ .
